I thought this month instead of having to pay $80 plus every time to color my hair why not buy the color and do it myself at home? Smart right! Wrong. Especially when you are trying to lighten and or if your hair is multicolored. Dyed my hair at home with a friend and it pretty much turned out black!! ( will post photos below ) I was so annoyed ( as you can see in the photo ) I had put all this time and money into fixing my hair and lightening it just for a bad dye job to send it back to black!!!! Grrr. So I had heard this theory that head and shoulders shampoo can help strip out color? Well I am booked in to have my hair fixed once more next Thursday but I figure why not try and get some of the color out now! Before the appointment?! So I brought the standard 2 in 1 shampoo.. I haven't used a 2 in 1 since I was a child I cringed as I poured it into my hand and onto my head. Lathered up in the mirror and went and sat infront of the tv for 20 mins came back washed it out ( substantial color was coming out in the water ) so I repeated! This time I let it soak for 60 mins, stimulating the hair again every 15 mins or so, re lathered with more in the shower and washed out. Then after an extremely hard brush of my hair I dried it off with the hair dryer and the results are listed below! I think it's lifted the front quite a bit! I know diff lighting etc but it's better than nothing! So in conclusion I can confirm that head and shoulders helps strip out color. Over a long period of time Im sure it would do a great job! I have uploaded during and before and after photos below!

A Decision Pending
Good morning cyber space! How is everyone today?
So off I go to priceline last night, after conning my friend into helping me with my hair over some wine and junk food we had come to an agreeance that we would attack my hair on Sunday night before the big race on Tuesday! ( Not that I am doing anything anyway!! )
The product is sitting their on the shelf, however its only the regular strength not the max! The regular is for mid to light tones, which my hair is definetly not!! ARGH! so I ring around to other pharmacies around the area and every one that DOES stock the max strength has run out! Just my luck. So after going backwards and forward with my friend about should we just bleach it etc etc etc we decide to go into a different hairdresser to last time and see what they say.
SO in we go into *premise will remain unnamed* hairdresser and they look at my hair and are of course appalled by how it looks! So I ask them if they can fix it, and they agree to "do their best" needless to say that doesnt sound to promising to me! But my friend was like "stay positive!" "they might actually get it right!" so I am booked in to have my hair attacked professionally next Sunday! ( after the big race ) Like anyone else would when they are changing their hair colour i spent numerous hours going through photos of people with red hair trying to pick a shade! I havent even though about cut I dont think i could cope with that ASWELL at the moment, so hopefully this time next week i will be getting more excited about having my hair done. Fingers cross it doesnt break off. Or i could be ending up with a very short hair cut aswell. Eh.
So i decided on this shade... There is a difference!! Let me know what you think!
